Why Jilla and Veeram Director Haven't Seen their movies ?

Director Nesan who is currently basking in the glory of Jilla Success recently opened up in a interview and revealed some intresting insights on both Jilla and Thala's VeeramThe Director who was the senior to Siruthai Siva in Chennai Film Institute said Siva had called him and asked if he had seen Veeram to which he in turn questioned Siva if he had seen Jilla. The Director revealed that both haven't seen the movie in fear that the fans would bully them and had hence planned to watch their movies Veeram and Jilla together so they protect each other.

To the question of if he had any regrets about Jilla, Nesan made a honest statement saying "The film could have been better, especially the screenplay and the length too was a bit of a problem". Nesan went on add that it was indeed very difficult to get the right balance between two powerful stars in Mohanlal and Vijay and regretted saying he couldn't do complete justice to Mohanlal has his story did not provide enough room for an actor of such caliber.

Jilla Producer talks about Veeram & Jilla Collections

RB Choudhary the producer of Supergood Films hosted a pressmeet to celebrate the success of his Jilla movie. The Producer had this say in the event 

"Pongal has become a celebration of sorts for distributors, producers and film makers normally 4-5 movies would be released for but only a single movie would go on to be blockbuster but in this case looking at both the movies Jilla and Veeram they are all set for record collections a world record of sorts. Mohanlal Sir called me up from Dubai and said he was very happy and thanked me for giving a huge blockbuster after a longtime in Kollywood. Jilla movie has surpassed even the records of an orginal Malayalam movie and all that in a just a single day collection. I guess being the Kerala distributer Mohanlal has every right to be happy. The movie was released with 'Thara Thapattai' and fireworks in Dubai. It's a very happy pongal for all us and we are very very happy indeed". 

RB Choudhary went on to add that both of the movies have gone to be hits and said he called up this press meet to celebrate this happiness. On the question of why the movie was trimmed by 10 minutes, He said audiences today expect only 2 to 2 1/2 hours maybe but our movie was 3 hours long and hence we had to trim it.  
The producer also added that he believed this movie was Vijay's best opening till date and though he can't say this just with one day collections he believed that this movie will be the all time record collections for Vijay.  

RB Choudhary concluded saying both the movies Jilla and Veeram were equal but the collections of his movie Jilla is extra and talk regarding both the movie is good and has a producer he is very happy indeed.

Nesan the director of the movie who spoke at the press meet said his main priority was to please both Vijay and Mohanlal's fans. He said he was very happy as the distributors have told him that the movie has surpassed Thupakki movie collection and in Kerala 5 years la illatha collection was there for this movie. The director also revealed he has been offered to remake the movie in both Telugu and Hindi.

Vijay was Worried when Shooting Jilla

Debut Director Nesan in a recent interview has revealed that Vijay was in great tension during the making of his Jilla movie. The Director said that the Thalaivaa issue was its peak when Jilla was being shot last year and Vijay was deeply worried about the livelihood of the people being involved in Jilla.
Director Nesan went on to add on how Vijay was such a professional has he would put all his worries to back-burner once the shot was called and was all praises for his dedication. Nesan concluded stating he was very satisfied with the way Jilla had shaped up and said Vijay's fans would be happy to see their idol in Jilla again.From the reports that are coming in from overseas, Director Nesan has indeed delivered a blockbuster in Jilla.

An Unhappy Vijay makes Big Change regarding Jilla

With every passing day the buzz and expectation around Jilla seems to be getting bigger and bigger. Now the latest info on Ilayathalapathy's Pongal treat is that the editors of the movie have been replaced. Earlier editors Praveen KL and Srikanth NB were roped in to edit the movie (As displayed on the earlier posters of the movie) Sources say the director Nesan was however not happy with the work of Praveen KL and Srikanth NB at the editing table and informed vijay about it.
Sources add upon viewing Vijay immediately agreed and the editors were replaced immediately and Don Max has now taken charge at the editing table( As displayed in the New movie Posters). Post production works are now at full swing in order to meet the 10th January deadline.

Veeram Director Talks about Thala-Thalapathy Clash on Pongal

Director Siruthai Siva who rose to fame with blockbuster Siruthai is all set to deliver Thala's Veeram for Pongal. The Director in a recent interview to Behindwoods was asked about the prospect of Thala & Thalapathy movies clashing on the same day after a period of 7 years 
This is what Veeram Director had to say
Both the films should succeed. This is not a cricket match and here both teams can win. I am very close to Vijay Sir and we were living in the same area. Nesan was my senior in film school and I wish that Jilla becomes a big success too. With respect to Veeram, we were clear from the beginning about a Pongal release and with Jilla also releasing on the same day, I am very happy. I, as an audience, will happily see both films on Pongal day.

When Vijay refused Jilla Producer's Request

The Shooting of Ilayathalapathy's Jilla is currently being held at full swing in order to meet the deadline and deliver the movie as a Pongal release. Recently while the team shot in Japan for a song sequence there was an earthquake, Immediately after hearing the news, RB Choudhary called up Director Nesan enquired about the well being for his team members and  asked them to return to Chennai at once fearing for their Safety.
However when Director Nesan informed Vijay of the Producer's request, the Actor refused to come back without completing the shoot has he did not want the producer to incur any loss.
