Amala Paul Clarifies on her controversial Interview !

Actress Amala Paul raised a few eyebrows in the industry with her recent interview to the Times of India, The actress interview had the title "I don't care who the hero of my film is". This led to numerous industry insiders feel it was not quite good for an actress to express her opinion about heros in such a manner.

Amala Paul however clarified her stance through her twitter account making the following tweets.

Amala Paul Talks about her one crore Salary and Says I don't care who the hero is !

As we reported Yesterday Amala Paul next was Telugu flick Vastha Nee Venuka alongside a newcomer in Havish. The actress in a recent interview to The Times of India answered on acting alongside a fresh face and about the much debated one crore salary for her in the film.

On acting alongside a newcomer in Havish ?

"When I sign a film, the hero is the last thing on my mind. My focus is on the script and my role. When I look back at my career, I want to be satisfied with what I have done and so far, I am happy with the decisions I have made.". 

On the reports of one crore salary for the film ?

"I think every heroine's pay cheque is getting fatter and we're paid what we deserve, Most part of the film will be shot abroad and I had to allocate bulk dates, so let's leave it at that. Besides, I have never understood the concept of A-list, B-list celebrities. Acting gives me a sense of purpose and I don't really think too much about other aspects." 

On why she chose the film ?

"I completely fell flat for the script of Vastha Nee Venuka. My character, Chaitra, who lives in Paris, is someone who is straight forward, wild, fun loving and doesn't believe in love. The story revolves around three characters and I really liked the way director Ramesh Varma, the director, wrote the love story in the film. I believe that I can live that role, instead of just acting it. It's totally me. Moreover, it's a welcome break from the girl-next-door roles I've been playing of late." 

What's Amala Paul salary for this Telugu Movie ?

Amala Paul has been signed up for a Tollywood flick in Vastha Nee Vanuka, The actress who has acted alongside Tollywood biggies in Ram Charan and Allu Arjun will be pairing up with a budding hero Havish.

The movie will be directed by Ramesh Varma of Oka Oorilo fame and be produced by Dasari Kiran Kumar. Maestro Ilayaraja has been roped in as the Music Director. This grand scale film will be shot in some exotic locations of Paris, Spain and Switzerland.

Grapevine is that Amala Paul has been paid a whopping one crore as Salary for this Tollywood flick.

Actress Amala Paul's who Nimirindhu Nil is currently rocking the theatres was this week's guest at the Koffee with DD programme in Vijay TV. The Mynaa of Kollywood revealed quite a few intresting thoughts on her peers, Here are some intresting tit-bits from the interview

• Amala Paul named Trisha as her Most Favourite Actress and named Anjali as the Worst dressed actress.
• Amala Paul was asked to list actors based on the following description, Helping Actor - Allu Arjun, Reserved Actor - Ram Charan Teja, Totally Hot - Mohanlal and Party Animal - Chiyaan Vikram.
• Amala listed the following actors based on their acting talents in this exact order - Vijay, Jayam Ravi, Atharva, Siddharth and Arya.
• Amala Paul re-stated Surya was her favourite actor numerous times in the episode and revealed it's her dream to act with him atleast once.

The Reason Why Nimirnthu Nil did not release Today ?

Jayam Ravi's much anticipated flick Nimirnthu Nil was supposed to hit the screens from today, However the movie was suddenly stalled due to financial issues. Sources have now confirmed that all the issues have been sorted out and the film will be releasing tommorow.

Nimirnthu Nil has Jayam Ravi, Amala Paul, Soori, Sarathkumar and many to its star cast. Directed by Samuthirakani, the film has music by GV Prakash. Jayam Ravi plays a thrilling a dual role in this much anticipated flick.

Kathai Thiraikathai Vasanam Iyakkam is an upcoming movie which is written and directed by Parthiban. The actor cum director has roped in several stars for the movie namely Vijay Sethupathi, Prakash Raj, Arya, Amala and Nazriya.

Parthiban confirmed the above stating, "Prakash Raj, Arya, Amala Paul and Nazriya have given their consent. In fact, Arya and Amala also shot for it; they will be seen in a cute love story in the film. I've spoken with some other industry folks too, and most of them have agreed to be part of the film. While some will appear as themselves in the film, others will be playing characters in it."

Interestingly this is the first feature film which is directed by Parthiban in which he doesn't play the lead role.

Mystery regarding Dhanush & Amala Paul continues

The National award winning combo of Dhanush and Vetrimaran are all set to unite once again for Red Giant movies. The movie which has been tentatively titled as Vengai Swammy will commence next month and actress Actress Amala Paul who is currently paired up with Dhanush in Velaiyilla Pattathari has time and again been rumored to be also part of this Dhanush-Vetrimaran project.

The Director Vetrimaran however denied these reports stating "When I was discussing with my associates about the project, one of the names suggested was that of Amala's. I haven't even approached her with the script." 

It's Love Marriage for Amala Paul

Actress Amala Paul who is currently into Vellai Illa Pattathari with Dhanush recently opened up to the Times of India. Here are few excerpts from the interview 

You forayed into Tamil with a de-glam role in Mynaa and later turned to ultra-glam roles in big budget films.

In Kollywood, after all these years, I am still the Mynaa girl. In fact, I am really happy that I got such a foothold in Tamil with my debut movie. But post the success of Mynaa, I got a lot of village belle roles, but I didn't want to get typecast. No matter whether it is a big budget or small budget, art house or commercial film, what I want is to be part of projects that offer me something different. I feel I am on the right track. Now I have one dream, to be a part of a period film, an era which is unknown to us.

Do you enjoy working in Malayalam, Tamil or Telugu the most?

Well, I really want to be part of all the three film industries. But it is a challenge for me to juggle between three cultures. More than the language barrier, there is a big cultural difference. Each caters to the tastes of three different types of people. The characters will also reflect the cultural differences. While in Malayalam there are more earthy characters, in Telugu there are more fantasy characters. Tamil filmmakers want a blend of both. But I love working in all the three industries.

Any marriage plans in the near future?

I'm just 22 years old. Marriage can wait. But whenever it happens, it won't be an arranged marriage. I am particular that I should know the guy whom I marry. I cannot spend the rest of my life with someone I don't know.

So what next?

I am currently busy with two bilingual projects in Tamil and two in Telugu. In Malayalam, I have signed Laila O Laila, my second outing with Lal sir (Mohanlal). I play the title role in it.

When Adharva and Amala Paul were Arrested !!

Atharvaa Murali after his stupendous performance in Bala's Paradesi has been missing from the silver screen for quite a while now. The actor recently made his presence felt in a talk show at Pudhu Yugam Channel and opened up on the alleged link up between Him and Amala Paul. Atharva was quick to deny the link-up stating Amala Paul was his best friend and there was nothing else, The actor took it a step higher to prove his point by calling up Amala Paul live on the show and asked her if they had ever dated ? Amala replied she was the love guru for Atharva and she was his best friend, However Amala Paul did confess that there was one incident where they got arrested in Vegas. 

Atharvaa added more detail stating it happened during the shoot of Muppozhudhum Un Karpanaigal in Vegas where he and Amala Paul were being followed by a Heli cam but they mistakenly ran away from the shooting shot and were confronted by the Vegas Police though Atharvaa tried to explain the situation, Amala lashed out against the Police stating they have done nothing wrong. The irritated Police officer then arrested the duo, However Atharvaa said he took it very sportingly cause he had a story to tell as he was arrested in Vegas.
