The Reason why Sonakshi Sinha Dropped out of Anjaan ?

As SS Music earlier reported Bollywood beauty Sonakshi Sinha was signed up to do an item role in Surya's Anjaan which was also confirmed by Director Linguswamy.

Sources have now reported that Sonakshi Sinha has however opted out the project and Chitrangada Singh has been signed up instead. "Chitrangada has been shooting for the past two days in a huge set with a grand backdrop. The set has been erected for this particular number that will lead to the climax sequence. Though Suriya will not be dancing with her, he will be seen in this song, in which Manoj Bajpai will also make an appearance."

To the question why Sonakshi Sinha opted out, It was reported that "Sonakshi Sinha couldn't allot the same dates as that of Manoj Bajpai for the song and that's why the makers had to opt for another actress."

It's Official, Surya's Anjaan to Release On ?

Surya's Anjaan is gathering more buzz with every passing day, After the official announcement that Surya will play dual role now Dhananjayan of UTV Motion Pictures confirmed the release date of the movie.

Surya's Anjaan is without doubt is one of the highly anticipated movies of the year, Directed by Lingusamy the movie will not be short of fast paced commercial blocks. Samantha Ruth Prabhu plays Surya's love interest while the music for the film is scored by Yuvan Shankar Raja. Santhosh Sivan's Cinematography will definitely be one the biggest highlights of the movie.

The latest buzz on Anjaan is that the first look teaser of the film is expected to release on 11th April along with the theatrical release of Naan Sigappu Manithan.

Actress Mrudhula Basker who make a huge mark in the recently released Vallinam revealed her dream hero of Kollywood. The actress named Surya has her dream hero and added she was a huge fan of him like other the numerous girl fans and said it would be dream come true to act with Surya.

Interestingly it was Bindu Madhavi who was supposed to do the lead role in Vallinam but the actress was later dropped from the movie as the director and crew were not impressed with her performance.

Fans here is the story of Surya's Anjaan which is currently doing rounds in our K'Town industry.

Surya is software engineer who works in Chennai, He travels to Mumbai for a work related affair and witnesses a social injustice and questions the act. Surya returns to Chennai to find out he has been sacked from his work and his subjected to death threats. His entire family is threatened by mystery persons not knowing what's going on Surya realizes that this might be connected to the issue in Mumbai.

Knowing that he must save his family and lover Samantha from the underworld network in Mumbai he decides to become a don himself and meet the problem head on, Whether Surya manages to save his family and Samantha will be told in Lingusamy's action filled screenplay.

There was a recent talk going around that Priyanka Chopra might pair up with the Singam Star for this movie, However Studio Green's head Gnanavel Raja thrashed those rumors stating the shooting will start over in the month of May and you will know the actress then.

Shankar's Next is Indian 2 !

There were numerous reports that Director Shankar was the lucky candidate to direct Superstar's next and that a sequel to the massive blockbuster Endhiran was on cards. However things have sort of changed as K.S Ravikumar is currently wielding the megaphone for Superstar's Next.

This has in turn forced Shankar to direct a sequel to his other blockbuster Indian, Reliable sources have reported that Shankar has been contemplating Indian 2 with Ulaganayagan for quite sometime and now that Endhiran 2 has been postponed, The Director might go ahead with this sequel.

There were also earlier reports suggesting Surya would play the role of Kamal Haasan's Grandson in the movie and both Surya and Kamal Haasan would star in this sequel.  An official confirmation on the project would be made only after the completion of Shankar's Ai with Chiyaan Vikram.

Actor Surya is currently on a little break from his Anjaan shooting schedule, The actor who created a huge style statement with his Anjaan look was actually sporting a different look in VJ Ramya's wedding reception. This immediately gave rise to the buzz that this may be Surya's second look in Anjaan. 

Surya who also met his fans in a recent event on 22nd February revealed that 60% of the movie was already complete and the second schedule would be completed by April. Samantha Ruth Prabhu plays Surya's love interest while Santhosh Sivan handles the cinematography.

Music Director Devi Sri Prasad who has composed music for all leading stars of Kollywood in Vijay, Ajith, Vikram and Surya recently opened up on the experience on working with these stars to a popular FM channel.

Here is the interview 

You have composed Music for Ajith, Vijay, Surya and Vikram films, for which the star was composing background music really challenging ?

All the four are really Mass heroes, I really worked hard and gave my best BGM for all the actors, But i was really afraid to compose for Ajith Sir because his one word, one walk or one look would make the entire theatre to erupt, After Rajini Sir, only Ajith sir has this effect.

So you can't just like that compose BGM for Ajith Sir movies, I have to compose the utmost mass music only then will his fans be at least lil' bit satisfied, Because of this every scene of sir i was very afraid and it was with this fear i composed.

Specially that Train sequence, Ajith sir put his life online and walked away from that scene with ease, But i realized that sir has taken risk no one else would taken and hence if i even slightly fail in BGM then i can't show my face to the outside world, it was with this fear that i composed.

Moreover Ajith Sir's recent releases all had amazing BGM's, Even on the night on Veeram's release i watched Mankatha movie, the BGM in the movie was absolutely rocking and my fear started growing even more. But after i saw Veeram in theatre, Every scene of Ajith Sir was filled with whistles and then realized my music has also come up very well and was i was very happy indeed.

If all the four actors movie came up at the same time, for which Actor would you compose First ?

Definitely Ajith's Sir movie. The reason, if we show mass it will reach correctly, I really want to score music for Ajith's sir movie again.

Surya talks about the fallout with Gautham Menon

Actor Surya who absolutely stunned the K'Town audience with his rugged mass look for Anjaan movie opened up in a recent interview to Deccan Chronicle on the status of the movie and about the much debated fallout with Gautham Vasudev Menon

On Anjaan :

"I always choose scripts that are way different what i've done before, and will make sure i have given my best. That's why im sure that Anjaan will definitely do well among the masses as i play the role of a gangster. A character with grey shades, set in background of Mumbai. The shooting is almost over and it has come out very well. I enjoyed working with Lingusamy and Santhosh Sivan. Lingusamy wants me to sing in one of the songs in Anjaan which has Yuvan Shankar Raja music.I'm not sure how far it will work but it might happen."

On his recent scuffle with Gautham Vasudev Menon :

(Surya earlier issued a press release on 10/10/2013 announcing he was dropping out Dhurva Natchathiram) 

"I made this very clear at the very start to Gautham and our agreement also clearly stated the same. But now, after more than a year, I am yet to get a proper story in its entirety, from Gautham

After completing Singam 2, I waited for a period of 6 months and even accepted to do a test shoot and have a formal pooja, on the basis of my friendship and goodwill with Gautham. After that, I waited at home for many months and didn't go for any shoots as I was yet to get the proper story from my director.

Prior to this, I had a similar experience with Gautham for Chennaiyil Oru Mazhaikaalam when we had a pooja, shot for just a week and then I had to wait for more than 8 months. That film didn't happen and I went through a very similar experience this time too. "

Surya however cleared the air stating "All problems have been sorted out, I am open to doing films with him in the near future."
