Financial Trouble for Kochadaiyaan, Release Postponed ?

The entire world is waiting to see Superstar back on the big screen with Kochadaiiyaan, A reliable media house has just reported that the movie has been hit by a financial tussle, According to the report Media One Global Entertainments have to pay EROS International an amount of 50 crores before the release of the movie. Sources add Kochadaiiyaan will release only after this financial dispute is sorted out.

Numerous other films like Maan Karate, Jigarthanda, Vaayai Moodi Pesanum are waiting for the official release date of Kochadaiiyaan so that they can release the film as per the planned schedule.

Superstar, Kamal, Ajith, Vijay and Surya all in Dual Roles !

Director Lingusamy in a recent interview officially confirmed that Surya is playing a dual role in Anjaan which leads up to an intresting time at Kollywood where all the upcoming movies of the big league actors have dual and triple roles.

The Kingmaker of Kollywood Superstar Rajinikanth has done it yet again, The Man who creates history and breaks them has hit back with Kochadaiiyaan to prove a point. Superstar's Kochadaiiyaan trailer which was released last sunday (9th March) currently has crossed 20 lakhs mark in Youtube, which is the highest for a tamil film ever on Youtube (in this time frame). 

In less than the two days, Kochadaiiyaan had crossed 12 lakhs view count, In Comparison the view count of recent record breakers of Vijay's Jilla and Thala's Veeram were just 6 lakhs in that same time frame.

The Reason why Kamal Haasan was absent at Kochadaiiyan Audio Launch ?

The much awaited audio launch of Superstar's Kochadaiiyaan was finally released yesterday. After several postponements the event held yesterday made up with its grandesque scale and long list of celebs. Soon after the audio launch, a Press Meet was held and the director of the film Soundarya Ashwin was quizzed with various questions and she answered all of it without hesitation.

One such question was why Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan was not invited for the launch which had Bollywood celebs like Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and several others. Soundarya clarified saying she was very eager to invite Ulaganayagan but Kamal Haasan could not make it as he was busy with the shoot of Uthama Villain.

It's almost unofficially official that K.S Ravikumar will be directing Superstar Rajinikanth's next. According to reliable sources Rockline Venkatesh will produce the movie while Rathnavelu will be the cinematographer and A.R.Rahman the music composer.

Actress Anushka Shetty who missed out on the chance to pair up with Superstar in Kochadaiiyaan has been approached for this movie too. The latest buzz is that Kannada actor Sudeep who impressed Superstar with this performance in Naan E is likely to play the antagonist role in this Superstar starrer.

Numerous reports have indicated that this might be a sequel to the hit blockbuster Padayappa which was also directed by K.S Ravikumar. An official confirmation on the project is expected soon.

How many roles does Superstar have in Kochadaiiyaan ?

Fans it's known fact that Superstar's Kochadaiiyan trailer was released in a grand manner at Sathyam yesterday. Here are some intresting tit-bits from the grand event 

• As per the producers, Kochadaiiyan's budget is 125 crores.
• The movie is currently slated for release on the 11th of April 2014 targeting a Tamil Year weekend release.
• Superstar Rajinikanth has three roles in Kochadaiiyan - One the title role 'Kochadaiiyaan' and two sons 'Rana' and 'Sena'.
• Director Soundarya Rajinikanth revealed that if someone had got her the dates of Dhanush she would have definitely given him a role in the film.
• Both K.S Ravikumar and Shankar while they spoke were asked by fans to reveal if their next film was with Superstar ? However both the directors diplomatically declined the request.

If reports to be believed Actress Anushka Shetty has been removed from Ajith-Gautham Menon project due to unknown reasons. The leading lady of South Indian cinema has now been linked with Superstar Rajinikanth's upcoming film with K.S.Ravikumar. 

Sources add Anushka has already been signed up by K.S Ravikumar, Sources also reveal that this movie could very well be a Part II to the hit blockbuster Padayappa. It's worth mentioning that Anushka Shetty has also the first choice for Superstar's Kochadaiiyaan but was later replaced due to date clash.

The official confirmation will be made only after Kochadaiiyan release plans are confirmed.

Superstar Rajinikanth's Next is Padayappa 2 !

If reports are to be believed Superstar Rajinikanth is all set to re-unite with K.S Ravikumar for Padayappa Part II ! Yes Sources have almost confirmed that K.S Ravikumar will indeed be directing Superstar's next and Shankar will direct the one after this !

Times of India reported that "It looks like director KS Ravikumar will be directing Rajini sir's next film. Cameraman Rathnavelu, who worked with the Superstar in Endhiran, will be the cinematographer for this film. Rajini is likely to do a film with Shankar after he does this one with KS Ravikumar."

Reliable sources also report that the mega duo of Rajnikanth and K.S Ravikumar are more likely to do a sequel to the hit blockbuster Padayappa which showcased Superstar as a middle age man in the second half.

When Superstar Rajinikanth Felt Embarrassed ?

In an amazing career spanning over 38 years, Superstar Rajinikanth has been part of several romantic scenes and has performed them with remarkable ease, He however felt embarrassed while shooting romantic scenes with Deepika Padukone for Kochadaiiyan which is being directed by his own daughter Soundarya Rajinikanth.

Soundarya revealed  "Appa felt very awkward while shooting romantic scenes as it was me who is saying 'action' and 'cut'. He is very professional as an actor and hence he ensured those scenes have come out well. I feel blessed and grateful to direct him. I shall direct one more film with him if God is kind enough".

Soundarya Makes it Official about Kochadaiiyaan

Superstar Rajinikanth's much anticipated movie Kochadaiiyaan's audio will be launched on March 9th at Sathyam Cinemas. After several postponements, Soundarya Rajinikanth the director of Kochadaiiyaan finally tweeted

The audio launch is expected to be a mega event with Amitabh Bachchan doing the honours. Oscar Hero A.R.Rahman has composed music for this magnum opus.

Written by KS Ravikumar, the film features Sarathkumar,Deepika Padukone, Shobhana, Jackie Shroff and Nassar. Kochadaiiyaan is india first movie to utilize performance capture technology.

Ajith Replaces Superstar Rajinikanth !

As SS Music earlier reported there was a buzz going around that Thala Ajith might feature in K.V Anand's next. The K.O Director had initially written the script for Superstar Rajinikanth, However the movie never materialized and he instead approached Thala Ajith who gave the nod to the movie.

Sources now report that Thala Ajith's movie with K.V Anand has more or less been made official and the movie is expected to go on floors by the end of this year after Ajith undergoes his long impending knee surgery.

It's worth mentioning that Thala Ajith was K.V Anand first choice for his Blockbuster K.O but due to certain date issues Jiiva played the lead role.

Drishyam is by far the most talked about movie of the year, The movie was such a blockbuster that leading stars in the industry lined up to bag the remake rights in Tamil and Telugu. It's known that Kamal Haasan will be starring in the Kollywood remake which will also directed by Jeetu Joseph of the original Malayalam version.

Jeetu Joseph in a recent interview revealed that at first Superstar Rajinikanth was intrested to do the Tamil remake, "Rajini sir enjoyed the movie thoroughly. Though he was interested to take up the role, he had doubts regarding a few scenes, and how they would appeal to his fans in Tamil Nadu". 

A leading movie portal also reported that Kamal Haasan was also a bit reluctant to do the remake and almost said no to the project. But sources believe that it was Rajini who might have convinced Kamal Haasan to take up this project.

It's worth mentioning that Drishyam was initially supposed to done by Mammooty but due to date clash, Mohanlal was signed up.

Everything Anirudh touches is turning into gold right now, The young rock-star has had success with all his albums in 3, Ethir Neechal, Vanakkam Chennai and Velayilla Pattadhari. At this young age Anirudh also has Vijay-A.R.Murugadoss project and Ajith-Gautham Menon project in his kitty.

In a recent media interaction Anirudh revealed that he would love to compose for Superstar's Rajinikanth's film but he had one condition for it which was, the movie opportunity should come for his talent from the Director of Superstar's Film and not just because he is a relative of Rajinikanth.

Who is Directing Superstar Rajinikanth Next ? That's currently the million dollar question in Kollywood. Rumors after rumors have been reported in this regard, There have been reports linking Shankar, K.V Anand and K.S Ravikumar who have all approached Superstar with scrips at various time avenues.

Sources now report that after hearing out all the three scripts from all the three directors, Superstar has gone with K.S Ravikumar as his final pick. Long time friend of Superstar and head of Rockline Productions Venkatesh is expected to produce this movie.

K.S Ravikumar did recently deny reports linking him to Superstar project stating his next was with Sudeep and he was not involved in Superstar's next in any manner "I've lost count of the number of times this rumour has surfaced! I'm not doing Rajini's next film; in fact, I will be directing Sudeep soon" said K.S Ravikumar. Only an official confirmation would clear these doubts.

If reports are to believed Karthi is all set to star in the remake of Superstar's "Moondru Mugam". A popular magazine has reported that Director Vishnuvardhan will be wielding the megaphone for this remake which will also see the hit combo of Karthi and Tamannaah being re-united.

According to sources Vishnuvardhan will first direct a flick starring Arya and his brother Kreshna and then direct this blockbuster remake. Actor Karthi has always shown interest in remaking Superstar Rajinikanth's movies, His recent releases have also had Superstar's film titles Naan Mahan Alla and Alex Pandiyan.

STR Talks about Thala & Thalapathy

It's no secret that STR that is huge Thala fan, The young superstar has time and again stated how much he adores Thala and in an recent interview STR said he likes Ajith because of his real life personality. He added that he was a huge fan of Superstar Rajinikanth and even when his first film Monisha En Monalisa was released, he went to watch only Rajini’s film with his friends and not his film.

STR added "After Rajinikanth, It is only Ajith who has taken the place of the superstar. I somehow see myself in Ajith. He is a star to me because he is the REAL hero in real life too, Though I'm an actor I can't see my films like a fan with whistles and claps but I will be doing it for an Ajith film".

Simbu also cautiously said " As I'm speaking high on Ajith , never write that I don't like Vijay anna (brother) because i have the utmost respect for Vijay Anna too.
